Local processing

PDF to Figma Design processes PDF files selected by the user locally inside the Figma plugin environment. The plugin does not upload PDF files, PDF contents, passwords, or imported assets to an external server. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting services.

License activation

When a user activates a Dodo Payments purchase, the plugin sends the license key and an anonymous installation label to Dodo Payments for activation and periodic validation. No email address is required, and PDF files remain local. The plugin stores the license key, anonymous license-key instance ID, verified Dodo product ID, non-sensitive license metadata (the plan, product name, activation timestamp, and, only when Dodo provides one, the license expiration time), and validation timestamp in Figma client storage. Dodo validation can return only a boolean; an annual license without an expiry timestamp is shown as “Active while subscribed,” and lifetime access is shown as “Never expires.” A network outage can keep a previously validated license active for up to seven days; invalid, expired, disabled, and other explicit client-error responses immediately return to the free plan.

Data storage

PDF files and any passwords entered to open them are held only in memory while the plugin is running. The plugin does not intentionally store them after the plugin closes. Imported text, vectors, and images are written only to the Figma document chosen by the user. Figma's handling of documents and account data is governed by Figma's privacy policy.

Personal information

The plugin does not intentionally collect, sell, share, or retain personal information. Users are responsible for having permission to import and use the content in their PDF files.
